I chose Il Borgo Di Genova because it was conveniently located near the Palazzo Doria Spinola, which I really wanted to visit. Furthermore, I loved experiencing the mild climate and indulging in the delicious sweet and savory specialties, especially the traditional cheese focaccia di Recco.
There is a small pedestrian street near the hotel that can be a bit noisy in the morning, as it is frequently used to reach the metro or train station. However, this can easily be resolved by keeping the window closed, so it wasn't a major issue.

The location was perfect for us, just a short walk away from the medieval part of town where we could explore the historic sites and enjoy delicious Italian cuisine. The owners, Giovanni and Alessandra, were incredibly welcoming and helpful, providing us with excellent recommendations for family-friendly activities and restaurants. The rooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable, and the breakfast provided a great start to our days of adventure. We truly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it to other families visiting Genoa!
For dads, it would be great if there were more family-oriented amenities, such as a play area or games room for the children.

Charming B&B with personal touches
We recently stayed at a fantastic B&B in a fascinating city and had a truly wonderful experience. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the station and easily accessible from the airport. The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully designed, with lovely details like a small fridge and good lighting. We felt private and secure with our own key to both the room and the front door.
Despite a minor inconvenience finding the B&B due to a discreet sign and unusual numbering system, our overall experience was exceptional. The location allowed us to easily explore Genoa, whether by foot or using the nearby metro.

Oh so lovely to climb the steep stairs to the second floor with no elevator. So convenient, thanks!
